Who we are
The List is a family places and recommendations app published by Lineage HQ FZ LLC, Dubai, UAE. App Store bundle ID: ai.thelistapp.app. Contact: [email protected].
What data we collect
Account data. We use Supabase Auth with magic-link email authentication. When you sign up, we store your email address. We do not store passwords.
Places and lists. Places you save, lists you create, categories, notes, tags, and recommendations you add are stored in our Supabase database. This is the core function of the app.
Family sharing. The List is designed for family groups. When you invite family members, their accounts are linked to your shared list. All members of your family group can see the places and lists you save, unless you mark them private.
Minor profiles. The List family plan allows adding profiles for children. If you create a profile for a minor, you are doing so as their parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13 without parental consent. The parent or guardian account holder is responsible for managing minor profiles. Contact [email protected] to delete any minor profile data.
Location data. If you grant location permission, the app uses your location to show nearby saved places on the map. Location data is not stored on our servers in real time — it is used on-device for display purposes only.
AI import data. If you use the inbox/email import feature, you authorise The List to read booking confirmation emails to extract place data. We extract place names, dates, and reservation details only. Email content is processed to extract structured data and is not stored in full.
Usage analytics. We collect anonymised usage data to understand how the app is used. This is not tied to your identity for advertising purposes.
Subscription receipts. Handled via the App Store and RevenueCat (US-based). RevenueCat receives receipt data only.
Where data is processed
- Supabase — database and authentication. Region varies by deployment configuration.
- RevenueCat (United States) — subscription management.
- Apple App Store — distribution and payment.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data to any third party.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use your saved places data for any purpose beyond providing The List to you and your family group.
Children's data
The List is intended for use by adults and families. Minor profiles may be created by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has independently created an account without parental consent, contact [email protected] immediately.
Your rights
- Delete account: email [email protected]. We will delete your account and family data within 30 days.
- Export data: contact us to request an export of your saved places and lists.
- Remove minor profile: contact [email protected].
- Opt out of analytics: contact [email protected].
Data security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Supabase encrypts data at rest. Magic-link authentication avoids storing passwords. We will notify you of any breach that affects your data.
Changes
Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice and by updating the effective date above. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
